Also, I love your recent, white room posts. I have been slowly transforming our house and my slow-to-agree-partner is finally starting to see things my way. My kids laugh when people ask what my favorite colour is and exclaim that white is technically not considered a colour. As if.

I was just looking back on your posts - I think the "all white" thing is either something that resonates very deeply, or something you just don't get. You either are a white person, or you're not. My hubby doesn't get it - he resists it. I would have everything white if I lived alone. Now I use a lot more colour than I really want, and do enjoy it, but my eye tires of colour and I am constantly adding a lot of white to balance it all out. Our house is not architecturally interesting, so the off-white and muted colours actually look better I think, but if I had a remotely interesting space with some character, I would go brighter white on walls...I never tire of it.
